Islamabad – July 14, 2025 – Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi strongly criticized India for dismissing former U.S. President Donald Trump’s mediation offer on the Kashmir dispute, calling it a reflection of New Delhi’s continued denial of ground realities and its reluctance to engage in meaningful dialogue.

Speaking to the media, Naqvi said India’s rejection of international mediation efforts, particularly those aimed at resolving the long-standing Kashmir conflict, reveals its unwillingness to address the human rights violations in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He reiterated that Pakistan has always been open to third-party mediation and peaceful solutions, while India has consistently evaded such initiatives.

“Rejecting Trump’s offer clearly shows that India is not serious about regional peace or addressing the plight of the Kashmiri people,” said Naqvi. He emphasized that Kashmir remains an internationally recognized dispute, and that ignoring global calls for resolution will not erase the issue from the international agenda.

Naqvi also accused the Indian government of pursuing aggressive policies aimed at changing the demographic structure of Kashmir, suppressing dissent, and violating fundamental rights. He urged the international community to take notice of the situation and play a more active role in pressuring India to comply with United Nations resolutions.

The interior minister praised Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to raise the Kashmir issue on international forums, stating that despite India’s resistance, global awareness about the situation in Kashmir has grown. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to providing moral, political, and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people in their struggle for self-determination.

Naqvi concluded by saying that peace in South Asia is not possible without a just and fair resolution of the Kashmir dispute, and that Pakistan would continue to highlight Indian actions that undermine regional stability.
