RAWALPINDI — July 20, 2025: The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) achieved a remarkable milestone by winning two coveted trophies at the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) 2025 in the United Kingdom, one of the world’s premier airshows.
At the Air Chiefs’ Conference held during RIAT-2025, PAF’s professional excellence and the striking paint schemes of its aircraft received widespread praise from global air force leaders, according to a press release from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, congratulated the PAF contingent on this significant achievement. He stated that upholding the nation’s honor has always been the hallmark of the Pakistan Air Force. “Winning these prestigious awards reflects our professionalism, technical expertise, and relentless pursuit of excellence,” he added, commending the team for proudly showcasing Pakistan’s capabilities on the world stage.
Notably, the PAF’s advanced JF-17 Thunder Block-III aircraft made its debut at RIAT this year and was honored with the “Spirit of the Meet” Trophy. This rare award is given to the aircraft that best captures the ethos, spirit, and excitement of the airshow.
